John A. Tessier, 71, of Liverpool, passed away on Saturday at Upstate University Hospital. He was a devoted caregiver to his wife Sharon, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Liverpool; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey Tessier (Dr. Therese Duane) of Texas; daughters, Jennifer Tessier (Thomas Hobbs) of Mechanicsburg, PA; Amy Tessier (Matthew Edwards) of Liverpool; his sisters, Dora Disotelle of North Syracuse; Shirley (Larry) Gerow of Newport, NC; Patricia (Paul) Altenburg of Leesburg, FL; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Calling hour will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11 at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St. Liverpool.
